The Flex-1500 was the entry-level model in FlexRadio's original PowerSDR-based lineup from around 2010, a QRP (roughly 5W) HF SDR transceiver aimed at hobbyists wanting an affordable way into software-defined radio before FlexRadio moved to the SmartSDR-based 6000 series. Like its siblings it relied on a host PC for all operation and display. It's a lower-cost entry point for collectors or SDR enthusiasts interested in FlexRadio's first generation of hardware, generally trading for less than the contemporary Flex-3000 or Flex-5000.
