Sold in the Japanese domestic market in the late 1980s as the IC-760PRO, the IC-760 is a flagship-class HF base station closely related to the internationally-sold IC-765, sharing much of the same receiver design and feature set. Because it was primarily a JA-market model, it's less commonly seen outside Japan, and imported examples tend to appeal to collectors of Icom's late-1980s flagship line.
