The TS-430S, introduced in 1983, is an all solid-state HF transceiver with a 150kHz–30MHz general-coverage receiver and up to 120W PEP output on SSB, covering 160–10m. It was a well-regarded mid-tier rig of its generation, offering general coverage reception at a time when that wasn't universal across HF transceivers, and it sold widely enough that clean examples are still fairly easy to find among vintage Kenwood gear today.
