The TS-570D, introduced in the late 1990s, was a compact 100W HF transceiver that brought DSP IF filtering into Kenwood's mid-range for the first time, replacing multiple analog crystal filters with adjustable digital shaping. The "D" version was sold with amateur-band-limited coverage in some markets. It was well regarded for its receiver performance relative to its size and price, and was later followed by the general-coverage TS-570DG.
