Released in the late 1980s, the TS-680S is a compact all-mode transceiver combining full HF coverage with 6 meters in a single mobile-friendly chassis, offering 100W on 160–12m, 95W on 10m, and 10W on 6m across SSB, CW, AM and FM. Bundling HF and 6m together was relatively unusual for the era, and the TS-680S found favor with operators who wanted both bands without a second radio, particularly for portable or mobile setups.
