The TS-690S is another HF-plus-6-meter all-mode transceiver in the same vein as the TS-680S, offering up to 100W on 160–10m and up to 50W on 6 meters through a triple-conversion receiver covering 500kHz–30MHz and 50–54MHz. Compared to its 680S sibling, it represents a later refinement of the same combined HF/6m concept, and both models are commonly sought by operators who want a single compact rig for general HF work plus 6m activity.
