Released in 2020, the FTDX10 is a compact SDR-based HF/6m transceiver that brought direct-sampling receiver technology, previously reserved for Yaesu's larger FTdx101 flagships, down into a smaller, more affordable desktop form factor. It delivers 100W output, a touchscreen spectrum/waterfall display, and roofing-filter-grade receiver performance for its size class. Positioned between the all-band FT-991A and the flagship FTdx101 series, it targeted operators wanting genuine SDR receiver performance without flagship pricing, and quickly became a favorite among contesters and DXers on a budget.
