Launched in 2018, the FTdx101D is Yaesu's flagship direct-sampling SDR HF/6m transceiver, built around dual independent receivers, a large touchscreen with real-time spectrum/waterfall display, and narrow-band roofing filters for serious contest and DX pileup work. It outputs 100W and represented Yaesu's full move to SDR receiver architecture at the top of its lineup, succeeding the analog/DSP-hybrid FTdx5000. The 101D is the standard version; the higher-tier 101MP variant adds a linear power amplifier stage and extra roofing filters for even sharper adjacent-signal rejection.
