The Flex-6500 sat in the middle of FlexRadio's original SignatureCXA lineup, announced in 2014 as a 100W all-band HF/6m SDR transceiver operated entirely through SmartSDR software. It improved on the entry-level 6300 with better receiver dynamic range and diversity-reception capability, while stopping short of the dual-independent-receiver hardware of the flagship 6700. On the used market it's often chosen by operators who want near-flagship receive performance from the original Flex generation at a more accessible price.
