Heathkit SB-102

The final, most refined version of Heathkit's SB-100 series, introduced in 1970 and produced into the mid-1970s. A build-it-yourself tube kit for 80-10m SSB/CW, it improved on the SB-101 with a solid-state local oscillator for better stability, noticeably better receiver sensitivity, and an added accessory jack for the SB-500 2m transverter. It's commonly matched with Heathkit's SB-200/SB-220 amplifiers and SB-301 receiver to form a complete SB-Line station. Heathkit collectors regard it as the most developed rig in the series, and it's popular with hams who enjoy restoring and operating vintage tube gear.
