Yaesu FT-920

Built in 1998, the FT-920 is an HF transceiver that also covers 6m, with 100W output and a DSP-based IF filtering system that was relatively advanced for its time. It featured a detachable front panel and general-coverage receive, positioning it as a solid mid-tier base station between Yaesu's entry-level and flagship offerings of the late 1990s. It's a less common find on the used market than its contemporaries but is appreciated by operators who like its receiver character and late-90s Yaesu ergonomics.
