O tym radiu
Launched in 1959, the KWM-2 is one of the most storied amateur transceivers ever built — an 18-tube SSB/CW-only rig covering roughly 3.4-30 MHz at 100W PEP, using Collins' renowned mechanical IF filters for exceptional selectivity. It also saw use commercially and by military and diplomatic stations, cementing a reputation for rugged reliability. Paired with its matching power supply and speaker, it helped define the classic "Collins look" that collectors still chase. Today it's largely a vintage-collector piece, valued for restoration and display as much as for on-air use, with clean working examples commanding real premiums.
