A refinement of Drake's original TR-4, introduced in the early 1970s, the TR-4C is an all-tube 80-10m SSB/CW/AM transceiver rated around 100W output (300W PEP input on SSB), with somewhat higher output typical on the lower bands. The "C" revision carried running improvements over the earlier TR-4/TR-4A/TR-4B, including refined noise blanking and metering. It's frequently paired with Drake's matching R-4C receiver and AC-4 power supply to form a classic "Drake twins" station.
