Released around 2006, the FT-2000 sat between Yaesu's mid-range and flagship HF tiers, offering a dual-receiver architecture, DSP IF filtering and 100W output (200W in the FT-2000D variant with a built-in amplifier) in a more compact and affordable package than the contemporary flagship FTdx9000.
