About this radio
Introduced in 2004, the IC-7800 was Icom's flagship HF/6m transceiver for a decade, running 200W with multiple selectable roofing filters and dual independent receivers on separate boards. It set the benchmark for large-signal handling and receiver dynamic range in its era and became a reference rig other manufacturers were compared against. It stayed in production until the IC-7851 arrived, and well-kept examples are still prized by serious DXers and contesters.
